Summit Crossing Development and Potential Dedication Site
Highway 30 and FM 158 • College Station, Texas
Staff Present: Stephen Beachy, Director; Eric Ploeger, Assistant Director; Peter Vanecek, Senior Park
Planner; Pamela Springfield, Staff Assistant Parks and Recreation Department
Members Present: Gary Erwin; Gary Thomas; Joan Perry; Jody Ford; Shawn Rhodes; Wayne
Williams (as a guest— not sworn in)
Members Absent: Jodi Warner; Kathleen Ireland; Billy Hart (not sworn in as a member yet)
Visitors Present: Mike Davis; Joe Schultz; Andres Vela; Jim Easterly
1. Call to order. There was no quorum present at 3:30 p.m., however a walking tour of the site
commenced with those members of the board, staff, and visitors who were present. Gary Erwin
called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m., with the arrival of Joan Perry.
2. Pardon and possible action concerning requests for absences of members. Jodi Warner
and Kathleen Ireland had submitted requests for absence. This item was not addressed.
3. Site tour, possible action and discussion regarding Summit Crossing potential Park Land
Dedication. A walking tour of the site was taken with questions answered. The Board would
make a decision as to whether or not to accept the dedication, after further discussion with the
remainder of the board and staff at the next regular meeting on August 14, 2007. Hearing no
further questions or discussion this item was closed.
4. Adjourn. A motion to adjourn was made by Joan Perry and seconded by Jody Ford. The vote
was called. All were in favor and the meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
