PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING - PARKS TOUR
AUGUST 27, 1997 -- 7:00 A.M.
CENTRAL PARK CONFERENCE ROOM

MEMBERS: Elizabeth Cunha, Chair; Bob DeOtte; John Crompton; Chris Barzilla; and
Debra Anderson, and Gary Halter
ABSENT: Mike Manson
STAFF: Steve Beachy, Director; Eric Ploeger, Asst. Director; and Bridgette George,
Staff Assistant
VISITORS: None
The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m.
I. Discussion and Consideration of Parkland in Zone 2: Ric displayed a map of the
land located adjacent to the Madeley property. A copy of the draft letter to council
written by Elizabeth was handed out for review, as well as the draft letter that was revised
by Bob. After further discussion the board proceeded with the recommendation that
Council acquire the land adjacent to the property before it is purchased and developed by
someone else. Bridgette typed the revised letter and all board members present signed the
letter. A copy of the letter is attached.
II. Adjourn: The meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
