Call to Order. 2. Consideration, discussion and possible action on absence requests. 3. Initial Hear Visitors. Visitors are asked to announce their name and address for the record. Visitors may address the Historic Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be issued. 4. Consideration, discussion and possible action to approve meeting minutes of March 7, 2005. 5. Committee and staff report of pertinent past and upcoming community events pertaining to historical interests. : Review: March 30 College Station Exploring History Lunch Lecture: History of International Faculty Present: April 14-16: Texas Historical Commission Annual Historic Preservation Conference. : April 20 College Station Exploring History Lunch Lecture: Local Italian History April 14 or 28: May Heritage Month Proclamation at City Council meeting at 7 p.m. May 6: Heritage Month Kick-off Open House at Benjamin Knox Gallery, 4:00- 7:00 p.m. May 7: TAMU Historic Building Tour, 8:30 a.m. Meet at Rudder May 11: Project HOLD Neighborhood Scanning Session 9 a.m. at 115 Lee Avenue May 16: Project HOLD Neighborhood Scanning Session 2 p.m. at 115 Lee Avenue May 18: Exploring History Lunch Lecture, 11:30 a.m. May 21: HPC Early Bird Breakfast with Bryan Historic Landmark Commission, 7 a.m. Madden’s, 202 S. Bryan Ave.in the Old Bryan Market Place May 21: Carnegie Center for Brazos Valley History, 8:30 a.m. 6.Review, consideration and possible action regarding standard sub-committee meeting days. 7.Report, consideration and possible action regarding increasing awarness and education regarding College Station Cementaries. Project Updates: 8. Report, consideration and possible action regarding Project HOLD. 9. Report, consideration and possible action regarding the Exploring History Lunch Lecture Series. 10. Report, consideration and possible action regarding the Historic Marker program. 11. Report, consideration and possible action regarding the May Heritage Month events. 12. Report, consideration and possible action regarding marketing HPC initiatives. 13. Final Hear Visitors – Visitors are asked to announce their name for the record. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting. 15. Adjourn. The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available.
