Ross Albrecht, Forestry/Urban Landscape Manager; Robert Hole,
Cemetery Sexton; Helen Banks, Secretary
MEMBERS ABSENT:
James Batenhorst, Bahman Yazdani, Virginia Reese
Call to order
1. : Sarah Adams, Chair, called the meeting to order with a quorum present at
10:00 a.m.
Requests for absences of members
2. : James Batenhorst, Bahman Yazdani and Virginia
Reese sent in requests for absence. Weldon Kruger made a motion to approve the absence
requests submitted, and Randy Matson seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were
in favor and the motion passed unanimously.

: Roger Reese made a motion to approve the minutes submitted, and
Sara Mirza seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion
passed unanimously.

Membership
: Kathleen Ireland submitted a letter to the Committee requesting to be
removed from the Cemetery Advisory Committee. Discussion followed. Bahman
Yazdani, alternate member, now becomes a full member of the Committee. The Cemetery
Advisory Committee now consists of eight members and no alternates. This was an
informational item only, and no action was required.

Presentation, possible action, and discussion on potential monument restriction

: Ross Albrecht, Forestry/Urban Landscape
Manager, updated the Committee on this item. The wording changes, for monument
restriction, were approved by Council.
Sarah Adams asked for volunteers from the Committee to make up a sub-committee
regarding changes for variance requests. The sub-committee members are Roger Reese,
Weldon Kruger and Sara Mirza. This was an informational item only, and no action was
required.

this item. The city will buy back cemetery spaces for what the customer originally paid.
