Slocum, David Chester, Joe Wallace, Virginia Reese, Kevin Myers, and Weldon Kruger Members Absent: None Staff Present: Ross Albrecht, Forestry Superintendent; Steve Beachy, Director, Parks and Recreation; Robert Hole, Cemetery Sexton, Amanda Putz, Parks Secretary, Visitors: Ron Silvia, Mayor; Glenn Brown, City Manager; Kathy Merrill, Assistant City Manager; David Ruesink; Cody Jones; Lorene Jones; John Washington Jr.; Eric Dotson; Christopher Graff; Grant Wencel; Steven Metzer; Peter Tallow; Rocky Choate; Brett Blankner 1. Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. by David Chester. 2. Requests for absences of members: No absentee requests were submitted. 3. Possible action and discussion during a public input meeting directed by Edwards & Kelcey (design firm) regarding cemetery design issues for the new municipal cemetery: Edwards and Kelcey gave a presentation showing a variety of three different building schemes, concept images, and site plans with details on each plan. Discussion and a question & answer session followed. The decision was narrowed to one site plan, which everyone agreed upon, which was Site A (with a few modifications). The group also agreed they liked Building B for the new cemetery. No action was taken. 4. Presentation, possible action and discussion on future agenda items. A Board Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting: No action was taken. Hearing none, this item was closed. 5. Cemetery Advisory Committee Calendar: Dec. 12 Regular Meeting @ 12:00 p.m., Exit Teen Center, 1600 Rock Prairie Road Jan. 23 Regular Meeting @ 12:00 p.m., Exit Teen Center, 1600 Rock Prairie Road 6. Adjourn: James Batenhorst made the motion to adjourn the meeting and Virginia Reese seconded. All were in favor and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
