The committee agreed that it looks nice and thanked Ross for getting it done. Ross also informed the committee that there was enough money left that he has already ordered 2 benches, and then the committee can decide where those benches should go. He went on the say that he would like to plant a row of crepe myrtles along the 10 ft. easement to set that section off. He explained that those trees would be purchased and planted out of his budget. 8.Discussion, consideration and possible action regarding the master landscape plan of the cemetery: Ross stated that the landscape plan needs to include a finalized plan for the improvements to the back entrance of the cemetery. It also needs to include the Memorial Walkway and the Madeley Area which are now in the cemetery. The committee would like to invite Pete Vanecek, Senior Parks Planner, to the next meeting to go over the updated drawing. As for the written version of the plan, each member is to make changes and bring those changes to the next meeting. Ed Burns suggested that the committee consider putting up some kind of screening in front of the cemetery which faces Texas Avenue. He believes some nice evergreens spaced evenly apart would look nice and provide some kind of privacy for the cemetery. Ross brought up the point that he would not like to see any kind of thick screening where it would block the view looking into the cemetery. He believes that might encourage vandals in the cemetery. No action was made on this item. 9. Discussion of next meeting date and agenda: The committee will meet on Thursday, September 12, 2002, in the Central Park Conference Room at 10:00 a.m. The committee has asked that the following items be placed on the next agenda: ?
