The meetings will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a brief presentation at 5 p.m. Staff from the Bryan/College Station MPO, the City of Bryan, the City of College Station, and Brazos County will have maps detailing a vision for the roadway network for Brazos County to the year 2050. Comment cards and maps will be available so that citizens can have input on the final version of the 2050 roadway network plan. The meeting will feature a "come and go" format and personnel will be available to answer questions and receive written comments from those in attendance. The Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is charged with developing a Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Bryan/College Station Urbanized area. All transportation projects that receive federal and state funding must be included in this plan. A first step in the creation of this plan is to develop a roadway network plan that can accommodate projected growth within the region between now and the plan's 30 year planning horizon. In March of 2017, the MPO will consider all comments received during the 2050 Draft Major Thoroughfare Concept public meetings and develop a 2050 Major Thoroughfare Plan. This plan will be revealed at the final public meeting to show how the public's comments were incorporated into the final plan. The meeting will be held at the Brazos Center. Those interested in attending any of the meetings that have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the MPO Office at 979-260-5298 at least two days prior to the meeting. The MPO will make every effort to accommodate these needs. 3833 SOUTH TEXAS AVENUE, SUITE 290 BRYAN, TEXAS 77802 PHONE (979) 260-5298 FAX (979) 260-5225 WEBSITE: W W W.BCSMPO.ORG PUBLIC OUTREACH MEETING LOCATIONS FOR 2050 MTP CONCEPT OCTOBER 2016 Jane Long Middle School October 19' 1106 North Harvey Mitchell Parkway Bryan, TX 77803 (979) 209-6500 Kurten Community Center (Association) October 24th 13055 State Highway 21 East Kurten, TX 77862 (979) 589-2400 NOVEMBER 2016 St. Mary's Catholic Church November 1411 603 Church Avenue College Station, TX 77840 (979) 764-3416 DECEMBER 2016 College Station High School December 51h 4002 Victoria Avenue College Station, TX 77845 (979) 694-5800 James Earl Rudder High School December 12th 3521 Austin's Colony Parkway Bryan, TX 77808 (979) 209-7900 JANUARY 2017 City of College Station Utility Center January 11th 1601 Graham Road College Station, TX 77845 (979)764-3660 Clara B.
