Colonel Cited in Saigon
The nation's second highest
award forservice, the Legion
of Merit, has been Presented
to Army Lt. Cbl. JAMES T.
MOOSE, a Dallas native, in
ceremonies at Saigon, Viet-
nam.
Brig. Gen. DON B. HICK -
MAN, deputy chief of staff for
personnel of the U.S. Army,
Vietnam, presented the award
to Col. Moore, who was cited
for service from March, 1968,
to February, 1969.
During that time he served
as commander the Saigon De-
pot, prior to his assignment as
Saigon Area Exchange Com-
mander.
Previously Col. Moore and
ten of his men were awarded
Bronze Star medals for their
action during the 19M May of-
fensive.
Col. Moore is a graduate of
Sunset High School, Texas
A&M University and the Mas-
sachusetts Institute of Tech-
nology. He is the son of Mrs.
L. B. POLK, 1519 Melbourne
