AN ORDINANCE CREATING A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR TBE YEAR 1946
AND FIXING TIME OF MEETING.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas: ,
SECTION 1: The Board of Equalization for the year 1946 shall
be composed of the following: E. D. Parnell, Chairman, J. R. Oden,
and R. B. Sweet. In the event that this board can not serve an
alternate board is hereby created to be composed of the following:
F. L. Thomas, Chairman, A. P. Boyett, and OanTR.•Davis.
SECTION 2: The Board shall meet May 1, 1946 -- or at such
later date as the City Manager may set -- to begin its deliberations,
and shall meet as often thereafter as it deems necessary.
SECTION 3: This Board of Equalization shall work jointly
insofar as possible with a similar board to be appointed by the
Board of Trustees of A. & M. Consolidated School.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of
College Station, Texas, April 11, 1946.
