AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 386, BY ADDING
SUB -SECTIONS A AND B.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
Sub -Section A.
Any animal that bites, scratches, or attacks any person or persons shall be
subject to such tests as the City Health Officer or Chief of Police requires,
including the destruction of such animal and examination of the carcass. The
City Health Officer or Chief of Police may require the owner of such an animal
to confine it at a place designated by said Health Officer or Chief of Police
for such period of time as he may deem necessary, not to exceed 30 days.
Sub -Section B.
Violation of any portion of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than $5.00
nor more than $200. 00.
