HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-0307 - Ordinance - 11/28/19606 �G ORDINANCE NO. 307 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED AREA TO DISTRICT NO. 4, BUSINESS DISTRICT, AS DEFINED IN ORDINANCE NO. 38. "Being a part of a. one - acre tract, conveyed to Norton R. Burk- halter by I. P. Cooner, May 6, 1935, Volume 89, page 45, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas. Beginning at a point where the North line of said one - acre tract intersects the East line of Highway No. 6; thence, North 45 East along the North line of said one - acre tract 150 feet and corner; thence, South 45 East 70 feet and corner; thence, South 45 West with the alley or street line now established 150 feet and corner on the West line of said one -acre tract, and the East line of Highway No. 6; thence, with said line 70 feet to the place of beginning, fronting 70 feet on Highway No. 6, and runn- ing back 150 feet. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas: TEAT, WHEREAS, the City Zoning Commission, after consideration, has recommended that all that certain area of land described herein be rezoned as "District No. 4, Business District"; and WHEREAS, the City has ordered and has held a public hearing, after due publication, as required; and WHEREAS, the City Council has unanimously passed said ordinance, rezoning said areas for the following purposes: Automobile parking yard or spaces, when conducted as a business, bank, bakery employing not more than five persons, cleaning, pressing and dyeing plant, employing not more than ten persons, providing that none except non -explosive cleaning fluids shall be used, gasoline and oil filling stations, public garages, golf club or golf course, when operated for profit, ice delivery stations, job printing, hand laundry employing not more than five persons, theater or moving picture show, and recreational clubs, offices, restaurant, cafe, or cafeteria, studio, stores and shops for the sale of products at retail only, shops for custom work or the manufacture of articles to be sold at retail on the premises, and all purposes set out in Apartment Rouse District, District No. 3, provid- ing for apartment houses, boarding houses or lodging hawses, hospitals or sanitariums, philanthropic or eleemosynary use, private clubs, private or parochial schools, colleges and universities, hotels and apartment hotels; and W IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that all other provisions of said Ordinance No. 38, and the amendments thereto, are adopted and made a part of this ordi- nance, and all penalties and other provisions contained therein are here now included and adopted. 00108 Ordinance No. 307 Page 2 PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 28th day of November, A.
