ORDINANCE NO. 538
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF
REZONING ALL THAT PROPERTY FROM THE MEANDERS OF WOLF PEN CREEK
SOUTH AS SHOWN ON GEER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY'S PLAT FILED WITH THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE
DISTRICT, TO DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
that all that land described herein be rezoned as District No. 3, Apartment House
District,
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held in the City Hall at
7:00 P. M. on October 23, 1967 on the question of rezoning areas within the city limits
as follows:
1. To rezone or change the classification from District No. 1, First
Dwelling House District, to District No. 3, Apartment House District, all that property
from the meanders of Wolf Pen Creek south as shown on Geer Construction Company's
plat filed with the City of College Station being more particularly described as:
Beginning at an iron rod in the Southwest corner of the Morgan Rector
League as surveyed by Spencer J. Buchanan & Associates in June, 1967; said corner
being located in the South R. O. W. Line of State Highway No. 30, said R. O. W. Line
having a bearing of North 45° 42.2' East a distance of 600. 0'; Thence South 51° 58. 8' E
a distance of 298. 98' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence North 24° 40' West a distance of 55. 22' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence North 81° 44' East a distance of 60.78' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence South 88° 31' East a distance of 28.64' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence North 65° 58' East a distance of 92. 17' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence South 80° 44' East a distance of 41.37' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence South 16° 51' East a distance of 71.20' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence North 89° 34' East a distance of 53.44' to an iron rod for a corner;

Thence South 44° 19' East a distance of 243. 97' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence South 45° 42. 2' West a distance of 852.65' to an iron rod for a corner;
Thence North 44° 17.8' West a distance of 709. 82', to the place of beginning.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of College Station, Texas, at least three (3) times, the first publication of
which shall not be less than fifteen (15) days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
