RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
INTERVENTION IN RAILROAD COMMISSION GAS UTILITIES DIVISION DOCKET
NOS. 9292 AND 9304 AND COORDINATION WITH OTHER CITIES TO INTERVENE IN
THESE PROCEEDINGS.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, Texas, is served by TXU Gas Distribution
(a.k.a. Lone Star Gas Company), which has filed Docket Nos. 9292 and 9304 with the Railroad
Commission of Texas; and
WHEREAS, TXU Lone Star Gas Distribution has requested a statewide surcharge on
residential and commercial customers and a gas adjustment charge for pipeline safety
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, Texas, desires to participate in Docket Nos.
9292 and 9304 with other similarly situated Cities served by TXU Lone Star Gas Distribution to
protect the interests of Cities, their residents and ratepayers; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves the intervention in Docket Nos. 9292 and
9304 and requests consolidation with other Cities served by TXU Lone Star Gas
Distribution.
PART 2: That the City shall participate with the Steering Committee of Cities served by
Lone Star Gas Company regarding coordination of litigation strategy, the hiring
of consultants, pursuit of recovery of reasonable ratemaking expenses and
determination of whether or not to appeal action by the Railroad Commission.
PART 3: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
