Colonel McPherson was bard on July
25, 1940, andexceptfortwoyears, had
been a resident of the HryaNCollege
Station area since 1984.
Colonel McPherson graduated fiord Texas A&M in 1962 and
servedover27years in the C.S MarineCorps, assmning thepost
of Vice President Texas A&M Research Foundation from 1989
add has re[uement in August 2006 After ins second retirement,
he spent has time as owner/operator of 4M Cable Company In
Houston and Anderson Counties
During his Marine Corps career he was awarded the Legion
of Men; two awards of the Mentorms s Service Medal, People
Heart for wounds received in combat, the Nary Commendation
Medal with combat "V" for valor and numerous service and
campaign awards
He was preceded in death by has wife, John Manly McPherson
and his father and mother. Homer and LeNom McPherson, of
Abilene, Texas
Survivors include his two sons, Sean and Michael McPherson,
of Okinawa, Japan and Sneads Ferry, N.C., respectively;
daughters-in-law, Did leaven McPherson, of$needs Perry, N.C.,
and May ILchardson of Olunri Japan; grandsons, Cousin
and Aided McPherson; and a sister, Imue Zwherl, of Tampa,
