AMERICAN RED CROSS LIGEGUARD TRAINING PROGRAM Are you 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or challenging career? Check us out! Through videos, group discussion and hands -on practice, you'll learn patron rescue, surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR /AED. Following completion of the course, participants will receive a two -year CPR /AED certification and a two-year Lifeguarding certification. Registration: Jan. 7- April 5 1 Course length: 24 -31 hours 1 Course Fee: $150 • Candidates must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements (must be 16 years of age to work for the City of College Station). • Candidates must be of mature and dependable character. • Candidates must swim 300 yards continuously, using these strokes in the following order: 100 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing and a stabilizing, propellant kick.
