1. Call meeting to order.
2. Executive Session will be held in the Administrative Conference Room.
Consultation with Attorney {Gov’t Code Section 551.071}; possible action. The City
Council may seek advice from its attorney regarding a pending or contemplated
litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. Litigation is
an ongoing process and questions may arise as to a litigation tactic or settlement offer,
which needs to be discussed with the City Council. Upon occasion the City Council
may need information from its attorney as to the status of a pending or contemplated
litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. After
executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public. The

Economic Incentive Negotiations {Gov’t Code Section 551.087}; possible action The City
Council may deliberate on commercial or financial information that the City Council has
received from a business prospect that the City Council seeks to have locate, stay or
expand in or near the city which the City Council in conducting economic development
negotiations may deliberate on an offer of financial or other incentives for a business
prospect. After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in
public. The following subject(s) may be discussed:
a. Economic incentives for a proposed development located in the One Health Plus
Biocorridor.
b. Economic incentives for a proposed development located near the intersection of
College Avenue and University Drive.

Summary:The City of College Station in collaboration with the City of Bryan and Texas A&M
University is preparing to host the 2014/2015 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF)GAMES OF
TEXAS!TAAF is a non-profit organization established in 1925 to promote and organize amateur
athletics in the state of Texas.The membership of TAAF is comprised of parks and recreation
departments, individuals and organizations who contribute time, energy and effort in this endeavor.
The GAMES OF TEXAS is a sports festival created for Texas’amateur athletes.Patterned after the
Olympic Games and the U.S.Olympic Sports Festivals,the Games of Texas provides a forum for
training and competition among Texas’Olympic hopefuls and recreational athletes.The Olympic-
style competitions provide Texans of all ages and skill levels,with a wholesome avenue for positive,
personal development through sports and physical activity.
Budget &Financial Summary:HOT funds are allocated in the FY ’14 PARD budget for this year’s
event.Staff will provide a fully detailed budget after the 2014 GOT.We will be utilizing HOT funding
and anticipate a large return.The City of Corpus Christi reports a positive $15 million economic
impact as a result of hosting the GOT in 2012 and 2013.

Recommendation(s): Staff recommends acceptance of the project status presentation.
Summary: The Lick Creek Greenway Trail project was approved as part of the 2008 GOB election to
construct approximately four miles of multi-use paths along Lick Creek from Creek View Park to Lick
Creek Park connecting residential neighborhoods and CSISD property. This project is also on the
City's Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Greenways Master Plan. The final design plans have been completed
and the bid package is nearing completion.
Budget & Financial Summary: Funds in the amount of $4,410,000 are budgeted for this project in the
Streets Capital Improvement Projects Fund. A total of $590,983 has been expended or committed to
date, leaving a balance of $3,819,017 for the construction of this project.

Recommendation(s): Staff recommends acceptance of the project status presentation.
Summary: The Lick Creek Park Nature Center was included as a project in the 2008 bond
authorization. The scope of the project is to design and construct an informational education center
at Lick Creek Park. The final design plans have been completed and the bid package is nearing
completion.
Budget & Financial Summary: Funds for this project are budgeted in the Parks Capital Improvement
Projects Fund in the amount of $2,495,000. A total of $401,210 has been expended or committed to
date, leaving a balance of $2,093,790 for the construction of this project.
