Texas in consideration of Twelve Thousand Dollars to him paid by
State of Texas,
Have GRANTED, BARGAINED, SOLD and RELEASED, and by these
presents do GRANT , BARGAIN, SELL and RELEASE unto said. Agricultural
and Dechanicai College of Texas the following described land and
premises lying and being :situated in the state of Texas and 'County
of Brazos, to- wit:
Three several tracts of land, granted to Joseph E. scott

together with all and singular the rights , members , hereailaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise incident or
appertaining.
TO HAVE I,1 TO HOLD all and singular the premises above
mentioned unto the said .agricultural and Mechanical College, heirs
and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or
to claim the same or any part thereof.

the year A. D. 1871.

C UNTY OF BRAZOS BEFORE ME, C . F. Moore, Clerk of the
District Court in and for the County of
Bra'aos in the state of Texas , duly commissioned and qualified this
day personally appeared Gilliam B. Forman of the County of Brazos
in the State of Texas , who be in g by me duly sworn, deposes and
says that he saw H. Mitchell sign the preceding instrument and
that he, H. Mitchell , acknowledgedthe execution of the foregoing
Deed, dated June 21st , A . D. 1871, and delivered the same as his
binding act and deed for the purposes and consideration therein
contained, and that witness signed the same as a witness at the
request of the said H. Mitchell.
