Dear Ms. Reeves:
We have completed the revisions to the above referenced plans in accordance with the
comments received from your office dated November 15 and 22, 2005. Attached is a
copy of the written comments we received, a revised site plan (2 sheets) and an 11 x 17
erosion control plan (2 sheets). Our responses are as follows:
November 15 Comments:
Planning
1. We have verified that the plans meet this requirement and a note has been
added to the site plan.
2. We have attempted to show phasing lines on the site plan. Unfortunately, the
first and second phase improvements intermingle and overlap such that we could
not delineate them clearly. To depict the phases, we have shown "existing",
"proposed" and "future" notes on the major features.
3. Parking lot security lights are proposed between parking spaces rather than in
end islands to optimize light coverage and energy efficiency.
Electrical
1. 2., and 3. These items are covered in the plans and specifications, which
reference the City's standards.
4. and 5. An AutoCAD drawing with load data will be sent to Mr. Weido by Paul
Swoboda, P.E.
5. No response required.

Dear Ms. Reeves:
In accordance with your December 27, 2005 memorandum, attached are the following
items:
1. December 27 memorandum and checklist,
2: Six (6) complete sets of project plans and specifications plus one (1) set to be
returned for our records,
3. Two (2) copies of the revised site plan (Sheets C-2 and C-3),
4. One (1) copy of the landscaping plan, and
5.• One (1) 11 X 17 grading and erosion control plan.
In response to the Decemb 27 comments, we otter the following:
PLANNING
1. The plans call for a 6" curb along all edges of pavements that will be
extended in the future and a note stating that has been added to the site plan.
ENGINEERING
1. The landscape plans state that all areas disturbed by the contractor are to be
seeded. Although none of the culverts or storm sewers will have velocities
exceeding 6 feet per second, the landscape plans show sod to be placed at
all culvert and storm sewer discharge points. To further minimize the
potential for erosion at these outfalls, some are shown on the civil plans to
have energy dissipaters and protective concrete pavement. The site plan
shows the locations of proposed sod and energy dissipater installations.

2. The area between existing softball field 2 and Veterans Parkway will be
graded to drain under this project.
3. The silting noted between Parking Lot "D" and Soccer Field 4 does not
appear to be causing any damage at this time and is not anticipated to do so.
The natural tendency for silt to drop out of runoff water in the flood plain has
prevented the silt from reaching Carter Creek. This area has now stabilized
and I recommend waiting until completion of this project before doing any
maintenance in the subject area.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Reeves:
Per your request, we have prepared site plan drawings (2 sheets) delineating project
phasing in color and have attached 11"x 17" and 24"x 36" copies. We included the
larger drawings because the reduced sheets are not to scale, and because of the
amount of information shown thereon may be hard to read. Also transmitted herewith is
a complete set of the revised Civil sheets for Josh Norton's use.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Sincerely,
