Subject: Re: Store No. 3535 - College Station, TX - Revised Building Elevations
Mark, I was able to go over the revised plans, and most everything looks good. I am emailing so we both have
a copy of the comments for our records. A few comments:
1. The roofline and columns are fine, however the colors are still over the percentage allowed for accent colors
(10%).The front elevation appears to be close depending on what percentage of the smooth face CMU that is
painted red. The other elevations exceed the 10% accent color allowance based on the information provided.
On the right side elevation it says orange stripe on white EIFS. Does this mean that only a portion of it is
orange? Also, should that be desert tan, as indicated by your previous email? If only a portion is orange, and
along with the portion that is red are below 10% then it is fine. Please show those calculations, if that is the
case. The same for the rear and left side elevations. It looks like you have over 22% of non-approved red and
orange on the rear elevation and 15% on the left side. If you do not wish to reduce these to less than 10% of
each facade, then you will need to go to the Design Review Board. The guidelines for that variance are set out
in the Unified Development Ordinance, Section 7.9.K. The next deadline is Dec. 5th for the January 13th
meeting.
2. Looking at note 20, and the areas on the building which it applies, it appears that there is a metal parapet of
some sort. I wasn't sure if this is some sort of notation for the roofing material, or if it would actually appear
this way. Please clarify.
3. Please make a notation on the elevations that all signs are permitted separately.

Lindsay,
I know that you are on vacation but they requested that I send this to you
for you to look at
maybe today or tomorrow. The attached is a .PDF of the A-2 sheet that has
the Revised
Building Elevations for your approval. We have changed the background
color for the
EIFS to match the Center's color of Desert Tan and using their color of
white as Simply
White for all of the white panted areas that we have on our building. The

Red and the
Orange colors will be the only non- approved colors that we will be using
and that is
because they are our Corporate colors and we can not change them.
Please have a look at the elevations and let me know if it will pass
without going
through the Architectural Review Board.
