According to my conversations with Mr. Jones,he has several questions and issues regarding his property: 1. Does the law allow for annexation of his tract, without annexing Jones-Butler Road right- of-way? He provided a letter from Attorney General Abbott, and other TLGC references regarding the definition of"contiguous". 2. He provide a copy of an unsigned City Council resolution from January 2004,regarding utility extension policies to the ETJ. Either way, it appears that annexation is required in order for him to receive sewer service from the City. 3. Can he request R-2 zoning at the time of the annexation request? 4. Can the adjacent COCS waterline along Jones-Butler Road, with Wellborn Water's CCN, be used for fire protection? He stated to me today that he believes the existing line meets fire flow requirements, and he states that the Wellborn Water Board is meeting this evening to consider approval of his request to use our line for fire protection within their service area. I'll set up a meeting to discuss. Thanks!
