See vicinity Map. The proposed subdivision will consist of 9 commercial lots and 6 industrial lots. Please see Fig. 1 for the Preliminary Plat. 1. Water Improvements: Proposed 6" PVC water line is to be connected to the existing 12" water line along the Earl Rudder Freeway. This water line will be looped into the 12"public water line on Sebesta Road. Calculations for the Peak Domestic Water Demand: Reference : City of Bryan, Design Guideline Manual Land Use Determination(Method 2) is used to determine the normal flows by which the water system is to be designed. Use : Commercial/Industrial Designing the water system based on Commercial use yields conservative results for future use. Table III: Average water demands for commercial/industrial use= 50 GPD/CAP Population factor for commercial land uses= 30 Average Daily Flow= 50 X 30 X 36.92 =55,380 GPD Adjusted Daily Flow= 1.5 X Average Daily Flow=1.5 X 55,380= 83,070 GPD Peak Hourly Flow = 3.0 X Adjusted Daily Flow=249,210 GPD = 3.0 X 83,070/24 GPH = 10,383.75 GPH = 3.0 X 83,070/(24X60)=173 GPM = 3.0 X 83,070/(24X60)X 2.228X10-3=0.386 Cfs Fire Flow Capacity Calculations: To be submitted under separate cover. l 2. Sanitary Sewer Improvements: Proposed 8" sanitary sewer line is to be connected to the existing 8" sanitary sewer line along Sebesta. Please see Fig. 1 for the Preliminary Plat. Calculations for the Peak Sewer Demand: Reference : City of Bryan, Design Guideline Manual Land Use Determination(Method 2) is used to determine the normal flows by which the water system is to be designed. Pipe Material is either PVC or ductile iron depending upon soil cover. Check for Velocity with Manning's Equation: V= 1.49(R 213 X S 1/2)/n For both"Pipe full flow"and "Pipe half flow" situation; R =Radius of the pipe S =0.004 n =0.009 for PVC Pipe and n= 0.012 for ductile iron For PVC Pipe Sections: Half Flow: V =(1.49/0.009) X( 0.167 2/3 X 0.00412 )= 3.17 fps. Full Flow: V=(1.49/0.009)X( 0.333 2/3 X 0.004 1/2 )= 5.03 fps For Ductile Iron Pipe Sections: Half Flow: V =(1.49/0.012) X( 0.167 2/3 X 0.004 112 )=2.38 fps. Full Flow: V=(1.49/0.012)X( 0.333 2/3 X 0.00412 )= 3.78 fps Minimum Velocity with pipe half full should be 2.5 fps. Maximum Velocity with pipe full should be 8.0 fps. Full capacity of 8"dia. PVC Pipe= 5.03 X 7C 0.332= 1.75 cfs. Full capacity of 8" dia. Ductile Iron Pipe=3.78 X It 0.332 = 1.32 cfs. 2 .--"`", 0 immimC PROJECT LOCATION # 4 A0, "59 % ite '444 / i f o` 111 L‘\, L.
