Applicant: A&M United Methodist Church
Item Summary: This project involves the redevelopment of the existing A&M United
Methodist Church educational and fellowship building. The proposal includes one 2-
story building and an outdoor play area. The structure is 50 feet tall and is 34,328 S.F.
in area.
Item Background: Last year the PRC and Planning and Zoning Commission approved
a parking lot for this church that is located directly across Church Street from the
proposed building. That lot contains 121 parking spaces.
Churches require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). Conditional Use Permits and the
associated site plans are ultimately approved by the City Council.
Recommendation: Staff recommends approval with staff comments no. 1.
