HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes MINUTES Planning and Zoning Commission CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS September 4, 2003 AGENDA ITEM NO.5: Public hearing, discussion, and possible action on a Lot Width Variance Request for Peach Crossing Subdivision consisting of 48 residential lots and a reserve tract on 88.99 acres located at the intersection of Peach Creek Road and Peach Creek Cut-Off in the City's ETJ.(03-88) Graduate Civil Engineer Cotter presented the Staff Report. Ms. Cotter stated that Agenda Item 6 is the Preliminary Plat for the subject property, adding that approval of the plat is contingent upon the approval of the variance request. She explained that the City's Subdivision Regulations require a minimum of 100-ft width for lots in the ETJ. However, even though all of the lots located at the end of the culdesacs are less than 100 feet in width, these lots do meet the County minimum lot width of 70 feet. Staff recommends approval with Staff Review Comments. Chairman Shafer opened the public hearing and because no one spoke, he then closed the public hearing. Commissioner Trapani motioned to approve the variance request, stating that in so doing, the trees would be saved and believes this to be worthwhile. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0. FOR: Trapani,Williams, Shafer,White,Hall,Reynolds and Davis. AGAINST: None. AGENDA ITEM NO.6: Consideration, discussion, and possible action on a Preliminary Plat for Peach Crossing Subdivision consisting of 48 residential lots and a reserve tract on 89.99 acres located at the intersection of Peach Creek Road and Peach Creek Cut-Off in the City's ETJ.(03-88) Commissioner White motioned to approve the Preliminary Plat and was seconded by Commissioner Trapani. The motioned carried 7-0. FOR: Trapani, Williams, Shafer,White,Hall, Reynolds and Davis. AGAINST: None.
