AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN, AN ELEMENT OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE AREA BOUND BY
BARRON ROAD, STATE HIGHWAY 6, AND THE PROPOSED STATE HIGHWAY 40;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the "College Station Thoroughfare Plan map" as shown in Exhibit "A-1", be
amended for the identified area as ordinance for all purposes.
PART 2: That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or
unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining
provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and
effect.
PART 3: That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor
more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00). Each day such violation shall
continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said
Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its date
of passage by the City Council, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the
City of College Station.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, determined a need to
study a particular area of the City to update and refine its goals for future development of said
area; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission set up a Commission subcommittee to
work with staff and area property owners to guide recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on February 6, 2003,
to receive further input regarding the draft study; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby incorporates the attached land use plan map (as
shown in Exhibit "A-1") into the College Station Comprehensive Plan as its
official policy regarding the City's growth and development including, but not
limited to, land use; parks; open space; urban design; and provision of City
services including water distribution and wastewater collection and treatment.
PART 2: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this thirteenth day of February, 2003.
