City Engineer Development Services City of College Station College Station, Texas RE: Letter Acknowledging City Standards — Saddle Creek Subdivision — Phase 4 Dear Mr. Gibbs: The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge that the construction plans for the water line, roadway and drainage construction for the above - referenced project, to the best of my knowledge, do not deviate from the B /CS Design Guideline Manual, except as follows: The culvert pipes will be HDPE pipe meeting the requirements of AASHTO M294, Type S with watertight joints. The pipe shall be embedded and backfilled with cement stabilized sand meeting the specifications and in accordance with the detail provided on the plans. In addition, the design engineer shall inspect the installation of the HDPE pipe culverts and cement stabilized sand embedment and backfill and provide a sealed confirmation letter verifying the use of cement stabilized sand backfill in accordance with the detail provided on the plans. HDPE pipe culverts have been successfully installed, approved and accepted by the Brazos County Road and Bridge Department in the previous phases of the Saddle Creek Subdivision. I also acknowledge that, to the best of my knowledge, the water line construction details provided in the construction plans are in accordance with the B /CS Standard Details. h P. Schultz, P.E.
