Dear Mr. Ross :
College Station drainage ordinances protect, maintain, and enhance the public health, safety, and
general welfare by establishing minimum requirements and procedures to control the adverse
impacts with some types of development. Recently the Development Engineering Department
has notified us of large amounts of fill and framing material which have been placed at your
property noted above without obtaining a proper permit.
City of College Station Ordinance No. 1740 of February 25, 1988 defines development as :
"A ny man-made change to improved or unimproved real estate, including but not limited
to buildings or other structured, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation,
clearing, or drilling operations. "
In addit ion , City of College Station Ordinance No. 1728 of, October 22, states:
"Issuance of a duly approved development permit sit all be required prior to any
development ... "
Please stop work and contact the College Station Development Engineering Department at 764-
3570 within ten ( 10) days of receipt of this letter to determine how to remedy this situation .
