North Temple Street Salt Lake City, Utah 801-240-2470 DRAINAGE BASIN: Bee Creek Main TYPE OF DEVELOPMENT: This permit is valid for site construction of parking lot modifications and a new building as shown on the approved construction plans. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent silt and debris from leaving the immediate construction site in accordance with the approved erosion control plan as well as the City of College Station Drainage Policy and Design Criteria. The Owner and/or Contractor shall assure that all disturbed areas are sodden and establishment of vegetation occurs prior to removal of any silt fencing or hay bales used for temporary erosion control. The Owner and/or Contractor shall also insure that any disturbed vegetation be returned to its original condition, placement and state. The Owner and/or Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to adjacent properties, city streets or infrastructure due to heavy machinery and/or equipment as well as erosion, siltation or sedimentation resulting from the permitted work. Any trees required to be protected by ordinance or as part of the landscape plan must be completely fenced before any operations of this permit can begin. In accordance with Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, measures shall be taken to insure that debris from construction, erosion, and sedimentation shall not be deposited in city streets, or existing drainage facilities . I hereby grant this permit for development of an area outside the special flood hazard area. Though th• 1" to 1000' scale of th• m•ps are not accuf'ate for such •m•ll ams, • portion of the aite could be located in Zone X. This zone does not have a base flood elevation and i• not mapped In the 100 year flood plain. B. The existing site drainage generally shfft flow• to th• southwe•t •id• of th• tract. The acope of this project from • drainage pe,..pectJve is so small that the procedures for evaluating the impact outlined In the o,.;nage Policies and Design Standards manual are not applicable. The propa.ecl improvement Is only 0.05 •cru. By inserting extreme values In the rational formula for the 100 year event (C=1, 1=11.f,A-0.05) yields• runoff for the building •rea of 0. 8 cfs. h would be Impractical to attempt to detain any impact due to the propo.ed development for thl• project. V. Drainage Facility Design A. There are no changes proposed for the drainage facllltles. The overall drainage pattem• for the •ite w/11 remain the same •• th• existing condiflons. VI. Conclusions A. No detention is recommended. A• stated previously, the impact of such a small amount of development is impractical to quantify and would be vety impracdca/ to mitigate.
