The following specific adjustment (up to 10%) from the ordinance requirements is requested : Our Single Family Residence Homes have a driveway that is 27' instead of the 25' the city requires. 2 . This adjustment will not be contrary to the public interest by virtue of the following facts : Allowing more space in their driveways will elimate congestion on the city streets. We feel that reducing or eliminating congestion on the street will keep our residences safe while driving inside our subdivision . 3. The granting of the adjustment will not materially or adversely affect adjacent land uses or the physical character of the uses in the immediate vicinity because of the following : The only land affected by this change is that of the property holder of the owner. 4 . The granting of the adjustment will be consistent with the purpose and intent of the Unified Development Ordinance because of the following : With the addition of the on-site parking it will reduce the on-street parking and should present a more orderly and safer street for our residences and citizens of College Station .
