this summer. At no time will the occupants have to travel more than the allowed distances to

1. No work beyond limits covered in permit is authorized .

2. The permit may be revoked if any false statements are made herein . If revoked , all work must cease until permit is re-
issued .
3. The permit will expire if no significant work is progressing within 24 months of issuance .
4 . Other permits may have been required to fulfill local , state and federal requirements. Construction will be in
compliance with all necessary State and Federal Permits . ·
5. Stormwater mitigation , including detention ponds will be constructed first in the construction sequence of the project.
6 . In accordance with Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station , measures shall be taken to
insure that all debris from construction , erosion , and sedimentation shall not be deposited in city streets , or existing
drainage facilities . Construction Site Notice or Notice of Intent (NOi) along with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
(SWP3) will be kept and maintained on-site during construction as per TPDES permitting requirements . If it is
determined that the prescribed erosion control measures are ineffective to retain all sediment on-site, it is the
Contractor 's responsibility to implement measures that will meet City , State, and Federal requirements .
7. All disturbed areas will be re-vegetated prior to Letter of Completion or Certificate of Occupancy .
8. All trees required to be protected as part of the landscape plan must be completely barricaded in accordance w ith the
Landscaping and Tree Protection Section of the City's Unified Development Ordinance , prior to any operations of this
permit. The cleaning of equipment or materials within the drip line of any tree or group of trees that are protected and
required to remain is strictly prohibited . The disposal of any waste material such as , but not limited to , paint, oil ,
solvents , asphalt , concrete , mortar, or other harmful liquids or materials within the drip line of any tree required to
remain is also prohibited .
9. All construction shall be in accordance with the stamped approved plans and specifications for the above-named
project and all of the codes and ordinances of the City of College Station , as well as State and Federal Regulations
that apply . Only those deviations from BCS Unified Design Guidelines , Specifications and Details specifically
requested and approved will be allowed .

Re: Pebble Creek Elementary School Security Vestibule Drainage
Dear Erika,

The purpose of this drainage letter is to analyze existing and proposed conditions of drainage
for the construction of a new security vestibule for the Pebble Creek Elementary School. The
construction of this vestibule will also enable additional area grading to help alleviate drainage
ponding in the adjacent yard area. This letter will utilize the existing design calculations and
show the impact of the increased impervious area to the proposed site location .
Pebble Creek Elementary School is located at the corner of Parkview Drive and Lakeway Drive
in College Station , TX.
As shown on the attached sheet C3 , "Drainage Area Map ," of the original Pebble Creek
Elementary School construction plans , the drainage areas affected by the vestibule addition are
Drainage areas "A ", "G ", and "H". On the attached sheet P1 , Proposed Drainage Area Map ,
subareas G1 , H1 , H2, and H3 will be taken out of the total area of drainage area "A ". Subarea
G1 will be added to drainage area "G " and renamed "G-MOD", and subareas H1-H3 will be
added to drainage area "H " and renamed "H-MOD ". Subarea H2 is an area that does not drain
as originally intended as part of Drainage Area "A ". A grate inlet is proposed to pick the runoff
from this subarea and add it to Drainage Area "H". Subarea H3 already has been modified with
the addition of a grate inlet cast on top of Storm Drain B, with this area graded to drain
previously to the proposed construction of the vestibule . This area was added to Drainage Area
"H" as well .
The addition of subareas H2 and H3 to H-MOD modified the C number from 0.9 to 0 .79 , due to
those areas being undeveloped . The addition of G1 to G-MOD did not change the C number of
0.9.
As expected, the loss of area in drainage area "A" decreased the flow(Q) of that drainage area ,
while the increased areas of G-MOD and H-MOD increased the 100-year flow by 0 .3 cfs .
Below is a chart showing the existing and proposed drainage calculations with the above
mentioned modifications :

The original storm drain design for the Pebble Creek Elementary School allowed for capturing
the entirety of the 100-year storm . These calculations are shown on the attached sheet C4 ,
"Storm Drain Profile ". In fact, the design allowed Storm Drain "B", which carries the runoff for
drainage area "H", to carry a maximum of 12.6 cfs . Storm Drain "C" is designed to carry a
maximum of 9 cfs for drainage area "G". Below is a chart showing the existing, proposed and
maximum designed flows for each storm drain line:

The original design allowed for more flow than the 100-yr design storm flows . The existing
storm drain system can easily handle the additional flow created by the proposed construction
of the security vestibule and additional grading at the Pebble Creek Elementary School. If you
