The following specific adjustment (up to 10°11>) from the ordinance requirements is requested : We would like to request the extension of our driveways to 27'. 2 . This adjustment will not be contrary to the public interest by virtue of the following facts : This addition will only help with the safety and well-being of our residences . The driveways will be longer allowing for more parking spaces off of the stree t. 3 . The granting of the adjustment will not materially or adversely affect adjacent land uses or the physical character of the uses in the immediate vicinity because of the follow ing : The only land affected by this adjustment is that of the owner. 4 . The granting of the adjustment will be consistent with t he purpose and intent of th e Un ifi ed Deve lopment Ord inance because of the following : Allowing for more on-site parking and off-street parking will eliminate city street congestion . According to the Unified Development Ordinance Section 3 .17 , the Administrator has the authority to authorize adjustment of up to ten percent (10%) from any numerical zoning standard set forth in the Unified Development Ordinance. To approve the application for an administrative adjustment, the Administrator shall make an affirmative finding that specific criteria , as outlined in Section 3.17.E of the Unified Development Ordinance , have been met. The Administrator has found that: Granting the adjustment will ensure the same general level of land use compatibility as the otherwise applicable standards because the increase of the driveway width does not significantly alter the intensity of the land use; Granting the adjustment will not materially or adversely affect adjacent land uses or the physical character of uses in the immediate vicinity of the proposed development because the driveway width increase does not significantly alter the character of the structure or its density; and Granting the adjustment will be generally consistent with the purposes and intent of this UDO owing to the scale of the increase.
