Re: Drainage Alteration at Post Oak Square for Ninfa 's Additions
Dear Mr. Scarmardo:
We have calculated the changes in runoff quantities produced by the proposed alteration and
additions to Ninfa's restaurant and the required additional parking spaces. These are shown
below with conclusions and recommendations .
Runoff Calculations: Use Q=CIA and 100 year frequency for Tc of ten minutes.
A. Building Addition:
1. Northeast to Parking Lot:
Q Post = (.95) (11 .67) (.0230) = .2545
Q Pre = (.35) (11.67) (.0230) = .0938
.160 7 c.fs. additional
2. Southeast to Driveway and Drainage Ditch:
Q Post= (.9 5) (11.67) (.0138) = .1530
Q Pre = (.35) (11.67) (.0138) = .0563
B. Parking Space Additions:
Q Post = (.95) (11.67) (.0265) = .2938
Q Pre = (.35) (11.67) (.0265) = .1083
. 0967 c.f s. additional
.1855 c.fs. additional

Conclusions and Recommendations:
The combined increase in runoff toward the drainage way on the southwest side of Post Oak
Square totals 0.2822 c.f.s.
The increase in runoff toward the parking lot and subsurface drainage area of Post Oak Square
totals 0.1607 c.f.s.
It is our conclusion that these increases in runoff are inconsequential when viewed with the Post
Oak Square total runoff system and need no additional construction or accommodations.
Sincerely,
~Ila_;,
North B. Bardell, Jr., P .E.
