Graduate Engineer City of College Station 1101 Texas A venue South College Station, TX 77842 RE: Drainage Letter for KM Custom Homes -REVISION No. 1 244 Southwest Parkway, College Station, TX Lot 8C, Block D -Ashford Square Subdivision, Brazos County RME No. 189-0270 Dear Josh, The proposed addition, referenced above, consists of a 2,078 square-foot office building, parking, and associated sidewalks. Some parking and the access driveway to support this facility are currently in place. Using the Rational Method and the following parameters, an increase in runoff of approximately 0.50 cfs during the 100-year rainfall event would be experienced. Ration Method: Q = CIA CEXIST = 0.30 CNEw ;::;; 0.95 I= 11.63 in/hr Tc= 10 min. A = 0.066 acres The contractor of this development (KM Construction) will install gutter and downspouts so that the new impervious cover, expect for sidewalks, is directed to the front parking area. 90% of the increase runoff is expected to be captured and directed by this means. The remaining runoff, from the rear lot and side yards will discharge to the south toward the Manufactured Home community. This portion of the runoff is a negligible amount and therefore should not create any adverse impacts to downstream drainage structures and/or facilities.
