Mr. Riley ,
The City of College Station has received Construction Plans for a
proposed sanitary line to connect to the TAMU system on SH 60. Mr.
Hillman indicated you were the contact for TAMU. I wanted to make sure
you were able to review and comment on the plans. As you are aware,
this will also involve TxDOT permit approval.
Please contact me regarding getting your office a set of plans and how
to proceed in accordance with the interlocal agreement.
Thanks ,
Alan

Alan :
Thanks for taking the time yesterday to work through the plans for
Valley
Park Center. I appreciate your patience with our "what-ifs ." Attached
is a
copy of the ILA, as well as copies of correspondence during the ILA
approval
process . After TAMU agreed to the ILA , I'm not sure how much
correspondence
Dale Schepers had with TAMU , but in Chuck Sippial's letter of April 11 ,
2003
he asked the city to deal with Jim Riley, Director of Utilities , at
979-845-1210 .
Paragraph 3.04 of the ILA states that we must submit a scaled drawing
showing the design of the connection point.
Steve , could you prepare whatever Alan needs for this?
Thanks.David

PART 2 PROD UCTS
2 .01 MATERIALS AND/OR EQUIPMENT
A. Control Panel -Floa t Type
1. Design . Pump manu factur er's duplex float control and alarm system
designed to function with pumping units , factory wire and tested .
Controls to automatically s tart and stop pumping units and permit manual
operation at the pane l. The control panel is to be UL listed , manufactured
in a UL approved facility . The control panel shall be wired for a single
point connection for the electrical contractor.
2 . Sequencing . The control function provides for the operation of the lead
pump under normal conditions. If the incoming flow exceeds the pumping
capacity of the lead pump, the lag pump will automatically start to handle
this increased flow. A s the flow decreases, pumps will be cut off at
elevations as determined on the drawings . Lead pump will be alternated
after each cycle. In the event of a high level condition, an alarm light will
be excited to indicate an alarm condition.
Should the pump OFF regulator fail, the system will operate with a
differential between the lea d pump ON and the lag pump ON levels.
