Re: BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH
FELLOWSHIP HALL ADDITION
Dear Veronica,
The owners of the Bethel Baptist Church at the corner of
Harvey Road and F.M. 158 are proposing to add a fellowship hall
to their existing church complex. The legal description of the
site is Harvey Hillsides Addition, 2.245 acre tract, a portion of
Block 1, Lot 1, Volume 331, Page 598, College Station, Brazos
County, Texas. The addition will consist of a 1500 square foot
building and the associated infrastructure. There will be no
additions to the existing parking area.
I have determined from the topographic information that the
entire site drains to the open ditches along Harvey Road and from
there along Harvey Road to Carter Creek . The additional runoff
for the proposed 1500 square foot expansion to the Bethel Baptist
Church is approximately 0.31 cfs, (QlOO=CIA=0.9*11.6*0.03). From
my review I feel that any increase in runoff from the addition
will be contained within the existing ditches along Harvey Road.
This letter is to certify that in my opinion this addition
will not impact any downstream property owners nor the Carter
Creek drainage basin thus complying with the City of College
Station drainage ordinance.
The owners are hoping to begin construction soon and a
Development Permit application has been submitted for the
project. Please consider this information and call with any
questions. If there are no additional questions please process
the application and contact the owner.
