L. HAMMONS, P .E. 1700 KYLE SOUTH SUITE 240 COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS 77840 CITY OF COLLEGE STATION Engineering Department JULY 18, 1994 Ref: Proposal for Earth Fill at Undeveloped Lot Henton Subdivision, Lots #1 and #2 David Scarmardo proposes to import earth fill to his lots at the Henton Subdivision located south of University Drive and west of One Lincoln Place Subdivision . The material is being acquired to help level the existing undeveloped lots and is not part of a more comprehensive development plan. Specific planning for the lots has not yet been accomplished. As shown by the attached drawing, there are three fill areas. All three fill areas are located at the toe end of existing slopes. One is near University Drive at the northwest corner of the tract. The other two flank an existing natural drain that runs from this tract into One Lincoln Place Subdivision. All three areas will be filled with maximum fill near the toe of the slope, then up-grade to a feathered finish into existing grade. The maximum fills will be approximately four (4) feet near University drive and approximately two and one-half (2 1/2) feet near the natural drain feature. In all three fill areas the slope direction will remain unchanged . Only the slope gradient will be modified. Accordingly, there will be no change in flow direction or accumulation points. No drainage routing and no run-off volumes will be changed, therefore no drainage calculations are provided. The perimeter edges of all fill areas will be graded to a slope no steeper than 1' rise/4' run. Silt fences as located by the plan and detailed by drawing will be constructed prior to dirt placement and will remain in place until they are no longer needed . They will be maintained as required by City of College Station Ordinances. None of the fill areas are in an existing 100 year flood plane. Sincerely, \\) 1 )))) //)) ))))))))))));, ~\''''' ~'E.
