The Zoning Boa.rd of Adjustment will consider a request from
Victor Caudillo at their called meeting in the Council Room of
the College Station City Hall at 7:30 p . m. on Tuesday,
January 17, 1978, the nature of the case being as follows:
The applicant requests a permit to expand a non-conforming
use by adding to a building at 201 College Main which does not
meet setback or off-street parking requirements of the Zoning
Ordinance.

I f some unique circumstance renders a full design impractical, and if
the B:::iard consents, the appeal ma y be b a sed on a decision rendered in wr i ting ·
by th e Building Official in reply to the applic;:int's \~ritten inqui r y as to the
effeL t of a particular zoning requirement on a proposed plan. A coBplete
'applic a tion for variance must also be filed along with any drawings or data
necessary to show the nature and e x tent of the variance~.
(2) There will be no item pla ced on the Board agenda nor any· notice
publis~ed until all of the materials mentioned above are complete and in
hand. We provide no materials to the Board in support of a variance except
that which we receive from the applicant and can reproduce in-house (8 1/2 x
14 n ax size, line work).

The building department will assist you in finding the zoning
of the tract, identifying the section of the ordinance and
specifying the v~riation.
_The remaining three section address themselves to the three
findings that th e Board must make in order to grant a variance.
If the Board c a nnot agr e e with any one of these,, they will not
b e able to grant the variance.
Th e application will be sent to the Bu ilding Official,, City
Eng i n e er and Fire :Marshal for comm e nt on any _facts wi thin their
knowled g e which n a y b e ar on the case.

ceedings are paraphrased as appropriate, in the judgeme nt of th e r~corder~
to refle c t points of the discussion pertinent to the decisions rendered.
