Building Official _. §/{!__' ./ Meeting of March 15, 1977 1. Variance request from Dr. James R. Bradley: The applicant wishes to construct a dental clinic on his property at 209 Dominik Drive. The Zoning Ordinance requires a medical or dental clinic to have one parking space per 100 square feet of building space. Most other retail commercial and off ice uses require only one space per 300 square feet of office space. Dr. Bradley maintains that common practice among medical profe s sionals is to operate their off ices on an appoint- ment basis, and therefore the ordinance requirement is far in e x cess of that which is necessary. The Planning Department concurs in this assessment. We have issued the permit for the structure with the understanding that parking -will be provided to meet the present requirement should: the Board , not see fit to grant the variance requested. 2. Variance request from Mr. Phil Springer (McDonald's): .,. The applicant wishes to add a "Drive Thru Service" logo to an existing non-conforming sign. Drive-Thru Service has been imitated since the original sign was constructed. The e s timated cost of the addition is $900, or 124 of the present value of the existing sign. The existing sign exceeds the height and area limit for its setback (Ord. 1056, adopted December 9, 1976). o--....,_ -...2JQUEST FOR V ARIAITCE Present zon ing of la.YJ.d in question _ _,C.,__--=l=------ Section of ordinance f rora \.Thie~ varia..r1c e is sought _____ ~-'"'---------- The following specific vari ation f rom the ordina..'1.ce i s requested: To constru=c..:.t __ parking at the rat io of 1 space per 150 sq . ft . f or a dental office in lieu of 1 per 100 s q . ft . as requi red .
