Section 3-A.l . and 4-C, Ordinance 850, re- quire that any building permit issued by this office must be in con- formity with the nistrict Regulations for that zone. In accordance with this requirement, Mr . Farmer's permit requires the removal of the upstairs kitchen which has been a part of that structure for a number of years. Agenda Item No. 3 -The shopping center under construction at 404 University encroaches the required 25 foot front setback. This was not discovereci until the building involved was constructed. The reasons for this encroachment are to complicated to explain in a memo. I will present a detailed explanation at the meeting. I 1. 2. 3. 4. Minutes City of College Station Zoning Board of Adjustment July 15, 1980 Members Present: Chairman Harper, Wagner, Mathewson, Alternate Daughteys Alternate Boughton Members Absent: Burke, Upham Staff Present: Zoning Official Callaway Agenda Item No. 1 -Approval of Minutes, Meeting of May 20, 1980 Wagner moved to approve the minutes of the meeting of May 20, 1980. The motion was seconded by Harper and pass unanimously with both alternates voting at the request of Chairman Harper. Mathewson suggested that future minutes reflect Members Absent as well as Members Present so as to avoid confusion in reflecting the voting record of the Board~ Agenda Item No. 2 -Consideration of..a. Request for a Variance in the name of Lulac, Oakhill Inc., Anderson at Holleman Mr. J.W. Wood presented background information with regards to HUD established parking requirements for elderly apartment projects, the amount of parking proposed for the planned elderly housing development, and the design of this project and its units with regards to parking and circulat·ion. Callaway discussed Planning anrl Zoning Commission action and recommendations concerning this proposal and the long-term relationship between the project and HUD under the 202 Housing Program. Following further discussion of the request before the Board, Mathewson moved to grant the variance as requested as this was a special residential use, a hardship would result if the parking requirements were met and that the granting of the variance was not contrary to the public interest. The motion · was seconded by Boughton and approve.ct unanimously. Agenda Item No. 3 -Adjourn Wagner moved to adjourn the meeting.
