Agenda Item No. 1 --Approval of the minutes of Ma y 13, 1975 . Mr. Ringer offered
a correction to Item No . 3 of . the minu tes . Mrs . Leabo moved that the minutes be

Mr. Jones moved that the var iance be d enied in t hat it would per petuate a non
conforming us e and that t he propo s ed expansi.on would be in excess of 25 per cent
of the area of non-conformity. The mo t ion was seconded by Mrs . Leabo and
unanimo usly approved .

Meetin of August 12, 1975
1. The reques from J ames Earle is to add a room to an existing
r esidence. Part of the s ite plan is e nclosed with t he a pplication which
· shows the relationship of t he proposed and existing structure t o the
property line •.
2. The Chi-Chi restaurant proposes t o remo v e the Quality Inn sign
and replace it with a new sign of small e r size . The Aggieland I nn sign
is to rema in and would l eave two d etached s igns on the same building
plot.
3 . Th e Pil ger Tire Company is t h e successor t o the Zub er Tire
Company and proposes ta replace the c ompany name port i on of a non-
c onforming sign. The l ocation of .the previous management's logo is
shown by the arrows .in the accomp anying photograph . The old mounting
brackets may also be seen.
The sign is neare r to the street than 10 f eet, and there is an
additional detached sign advertising 100 ,000 Au to Parts on the same
property .

of the l and not found in l i ke d istricts: I bought out a n existing business . They had
their name under the Uniroyal sign . In order to have my name below the Uniroyal sign
I have to put up a new sign. Talked to the last man in charge of building permits and
he said. it would be ok as l ong as we we r e just c hanging out a sign and not adding a sign .
So I spent $1500 on a sign . When we go t i t in t hey told me they couldn't let me put
it up . So I am stuck with a sign and unable. to let people know that this is an
independent busines s and not · a chain op eration anymore. Not having my name out is
hurting my bus ines s.
