The me eting was called t o o rder at 7:00 P.M.
Agenda I tem No . l --Approval of the minutes of May 13, 1975 . Mr. Ringer offered
a correction to Item No . 3 of t he minutes . Mrs. Leabo moved that the minutes be
approved as c o rrected . The mo t ion was seconded by Mr . Ri nger and unanimously
approved .

use by Arthur Wrigh t . Mr. Koehle r explained the nature o f t h e r equest . Mr.

of their d e ed r e strict ions .

Mr. Jones mov ed tha t the v a r iance be d enied i n t hat it wou l d perpetuate a non-
conforming use and t hat the propo sed expansion would b e i n e xcess of 25 per cent
of the area of non-conformity . The mot i on was s econded by Mrs. Leabo and
unanimously approved.

1 . The request from James Earle is t o add a r oom to an existing
r esidence . Part of t he site plan is enclosed with t h e app lication which
· shows the relationship of the proposed and existing structure to the
property line •.
2. The Chi-Ch i . restaurant proposes to remove t he Quality Inn sign
and replace it with a new s i gn of smaller size. The Agg f eland Inn sign
is to remain and would leave two detached s igns on t he same building
plot.
3 . The Pilger Tire Company i s t h e successor to the Zuber Tire
Company and proposes to replace the company name portion of a non-
conforming sign. Th e location of .the previous management's logo is
shown by the arrows in the accompanying photograph , The old mounting
brackets may also be seen.
The sign is nearer to the street than 10 fe et p and t here is an
additional detached sign advertising 100,000 Auto Parts on the same
property.

This varia..rice is neces sa..,.--y due to the following unique and special conditio:is
of the land not follild in li'...;:e districts: I bought out an exis t ing business . They had
their name under the Uniroyal sign. In order t o have my name below the Unir oyal sign
I have to put up a new sign. Talked to the last man in charge of building permit s and
he said. it would be ok as long as we we r e jus · c hanging o ut a sign and not adding a sign.
So I spent $1500 on a sign. When we got it in t hey t o ld me they couldn't let me pu
it up. So I am stuck with a sign and unable. to let people know that this is an
independent busin ess and not a chain op e ration anym ore. Not having my name out is
hurt ing my business.
