V .P. -Operations (713) 890-1526 FAX (713) 890-4683 Reference : Carter's Creek Crossing Project Dear Mr. Homeyer: Enclosed please find a revised drawing and supporting documentation for modification of our existing pipeline crossing of Carter's Creek in College Station. It is desired that the modification be accomplished using conventional open-cut excavation as opposed to directional drilling of the crossing, as previously discussed . The proposed crossing construction will result in a new ditch profile placing the pipe crossings a minimum of 48 inches below the existing creek bed. Please refer to the enclosed drawing, 6 l-A-FL- 00 3, for details . Erosion and siltation control will be in place during construction to minimize downstream effects resulting from this work. A combination of s ilt fences and straw bale dikes s paced at approximate 50-foot intervals at two locations downstream of the existing crossing will be used to minimize impacts on the water flowing from the construction site. Please refer to the enclosed two figures . Howell Pipeline Texas desires to expedite this work, thus, your earliest approval will be appreciated .
