Box 9960 Co ege Station, Texas 77842 April 15 , 1994 RE: Old Country Buffet -Electric Service Dear Ray: In accordance with your request , we have revi ewed the load and service requirements for the Old Country Buffet proposed for construction at Texas A venue and Brentwood Drive. We have planned the on-site electric distribution layout to serve this project to be underground , in accordance with the requirements of your City's line extension policy . Enclosed herewith for your review and use are five (5 ) copies of our proposed electric distribution layout for th is facility. A staking sheet and drawing to specify overhead line changes , a Bill of Material , and a Project Cost Estimate for the above referenced project are also enclosed. A diskette has been provided which includes this project electrical layout for your use. A 500 kVA, three-phase, 7,200/12 ,470 GND Y volt primary to 120/208Y volt secondary pad-mounted transformer has been planned for installation to provide the requested service utilization voltage level for the Old Country Buffet. Metering for Old Country Buffet is proposed to be accomplished at the back of the building using 800/5 ampere current transform- ers and a meter with demand indication of at least 5.0. The existing lease spaces are to utilize the existing metering equipment installed presently on back of the building. Specifications for your use in purchasing this transformer are enclosed. In accordance with your City policy , the developer should plan to furnish . and install, in compliance with City specifications , all required electrical conduit and pour the required concrete pad for said 500 kV A transformer. The el ectric layout drawing enclosed provides details regarding the required number and sizes of conduit , installation depth, proposed condu it locations, riser pole conduit requirements, etc; the transformer pad details should be furnished when the dimensions of the transformer proposed to be used are known. In accordance with the new policy of your City, the developer is responsible for reimbursing your City for 20 % of the cost of installation, including labor , materials, and standard fee percentages for engineering and overhead cost for the proposed electric layout. ---------------------------- City of College Station April 15, 1994 Page Two We compute that the 20% contribution required for the Old Country Buffet's Portion computes to be $3,322.60. This cost estimate was calculated based on a total project cost estimate of $16,613.00. The total underground cost includes a standard allowance of 30% to cover your City's labor related overhead costs, 7% material handling costs, and 8.5% to cover your City's administrative and engineering costs. I trust we have provided herein the information you need on this project. If not, or if questions arise, please let us know.
