Re : Faithful Cars
Getting them to put in their detention pond was like pulling teeth. Steve and I have already looked at the
pond. They have cleaned up the concrete rubble in TxDO TROW that I wrote a letter about. /looked in
the DP file and found no outstanding file notes. I don't recall any other problems that needed to be taken
care of before CO.
>>>Shirley Volk 04120198 05:14PM >>>
Just talked to Mrs. Lassiter and she says they are ready for a C.O. except for 5 shrubs (I think) that they
couldn't get anywhere in town! Are you ready to issue the C.O. on this? Sabine, how do we handle the
landscaping they can't get?

RE: Removal of Concrete Rubble in TxDOT R.O.W.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lassiter:
It has been brought to my attention that there is concrete rubble piled in the TxDOT Right-of-
Way of FM 2818 adjacent to the Faithful Cars site located directly across the street from First
American Bank. TxDOT officials have asked our inspectors to contact you to remove the
above mentioned rubble so they can proceed with their construction. Judging by the tall grass
surrounding this pile of rubble, it is evident that it is interfering with the maintenance of the
Right-of-Way and must be removed immediately. If this rubble is not removed within 7 days
of the date ofthis letter, code enforcement proceedings may begin. If you have any questions,
feel free to call me at 764-3570 .

RE: Incomplete Development of Faithful Cars Site
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lassiter:
I have noticed that construction has ceased at the above referenced location. It is imperative
that the detention pond be constructed immediately due to the increased impervious cover that
has been added by paving the parking area By paving the parking area, you have increased the
amount of storm water that leaves your site and ultimately enters the U-Haul storage facility to
the south. For this reason, you will be required to construct the detention pond in accordance
with the approved construction plans by July 9, 1997. If the detention pond is not complete by
this date, I will begin code enforcement proceedings and recommend the maximum fine
allowed. Please notify this office as to your work schedule by June 20, 1997. If you have any
questions, feel free to call me at 764-3570 .

RE: Lassiter Used Car Lot -Drainage
Post Office Box 4234
Bryan, Texas 77805
We are in the progress of designing the detention and drainage facilities for the
abovementioned project and would like to get your comments concerning the location
of the proposed storm sewer. The detention pond will be located in the east corner
of the site and discharge into a proposed 18" RCP. The pipe will be located in a
public utility easement on site. At the north corner of the site, the lane will turn and
enter an existing public utility easement along FM No. 2818 staying 2' inside of the
easement line. This easement has an existing 8" sanitary sewer line and a small
portion of 8" waterline located within its boundaries. The sanitary sewer line has a
horizontal separation distance of 3.5' and an average . vertical separation distance of
5.2' from the proposed 18" RCP. The storm sewer would discharge into a proposed
open-ended box at the existing 30" RCP culvert .. Attached is a preliminary cost
estimate and layout of the storm sewer. Please review and respond at your earliest
convenience.
Thank you.
