Good evening Mr. Harris, I am in receipt of your three emails with the attachments. I can open and print
out the pictures of the building showing the proposed signage, awning and architectural feature, however I
keep receiving an error message when I try to open the PDF Adobe files. If you could, Please submit all of
this information with the application.
From what I can see on the renderings that you sent, I would suggest that the black and yellow checkered
stripe along the window canopies be just a yellow stripe. It is a little hard to tell on the architectural feature
how glaring the white and red will be. Perhaps when you actually submit the color samples it will be easier
to tell. I would recommend that the white and red be toned down a bit (not candy apple red or a blinding
white).
(Section 5.8.A.2.a) States: "Signs shall include no more than three colors and two lettering (font) styles. At
least one of the colors must match the predominant colors of the building. For the purposes of this section,
black or white shall not be considered as colors ".
The application has a check list of what needs to be turned in. If you need another application you can
access one on our web site at www.cstx.gov, or you can call our main number (979) 764 -3570 and one of
the support staff can fax or email one to you.
As soon as you get the application submitted I will take care of it. The next submission deadline is July
19th Monday morning at 10:00 am. I look forward to hearing from you. Please call if you have any
questions. I will be out of town starting July 19th. and will return July 26th. If you have any questions or
need anything while I am out of the office please ask for (Staff Planner) Molly Hithcock. Molly will be glad
to assist you with whatever you need as far as the Overlay District requirements.
Please be aware that the attached signage is being reviewed for it's color and font style. A sign permit will
be required prior to installation. The signs will need to meet the attached sign requirements in Section
7.4.1.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Jennifer,
Here is the color rendering of the College Station Building. It might be a
little hard to tell the exact colors; if so, please e-mail Mr. Eggert per
below, and he will send you the PMS colors.

Mr. Harris,
Please find a rendering of your College Station store attached to this
email. We designed the building with the signage shown in the rendering.
The next email I send will contain a bike rack and another rendering of the
building. I will call you shortly to discuss the sign design. Please feel
free to call if you have any questions or need further information. Thank
you.
