HomeMy WebLinkAboutMemoMEMORANDUM July 14, 2004 TO: Planning and Zoning Commission FROM: Spencer Thompson Email: shompson@cstx.gov SUBJECT: VACATING & FINAL PLAT FOR KRENEK CROSSING Item: Consideration, discussion, and possible action on a Vacating and Final Plat for Krenek Crossing Subdivision and a Final Plat for the same consisting of 47 lots on 7.41 acres located at the intersection of Krenek Tap Road and Dartmouth Drive. (04- 00500170) Applicant: Greg Taggart of MDG, Agent for Owner Staff Recommendations: Staff recommends approval of the Vacating Plat and Final Plat Item Summary: This item is for consideration of a Vacating Plat. The P &Z approved a similar Vacating and Final Plat for this same subdivision in April of this year. It has come to the attention of the City that incorrect information was included on the plat in reference to full ownership and the resulting dedication of right -of -way, easements, etc. This Vacating Plat will vacate the previous plat. The Final Plat will establish a new plat and dedications for all items will be effected by signature of the owner. Comprehensive Plan Considerations: The Land Use Plan shows this area to be medium density residential. The current zoning of the property as R -3 is in conformance with Land Use Plan. R1 -A was a permitted use in R -3 districts when the preliminary plat was approved. Two of the proposed cul -de -sac streets will have access from Dartmouth Drive, a minor arterial on the City's Thoroughfare Plan. The third cul- de -sac intersects Krenek Tap Road which is designated a minor collector on the Thoroughfare Plan. Attachments: 1. Area map 2. Application 3. Copy of Plat on wall of Council Chambers
