Per Section 705.1 only a fire wall can separate a structure into separate buildings and to comply with City of College Station amendment to section 903.2 and table 705.4 of the 2006 IBC. This project is considered 2 buildings separated by the fire wall, thus not requiring fire protection. No change to design has occurred, merely the identification of the wall between buildings as a Fire Wall and not a Fire Barrier. The concrete tilt wall that separates the structures is a 3 hour rated partition as per the 2006 IBC table 720.1(2) 6.5" thick Siliceous Aggregate Concrete 3 hours and corrected on the title sheet and the floor plan sheet A1.1.
