The restrooms and building core which includes the restrooms, elevator lobby, and janitor's closet were completed under the original Building Shell construction. The exhaust fans are in place and functioning. 2. Provide fire rated doors in all fire rated walls to comply with table 715.3 of the 2003 IBC. The specifications call for the corridor doors to receive a minimum 20 minute fire rated label. The doors, frames, and hardware specified are to have a fire rated assembly. The plan review is based on the 2003 International Codes, the 2002 National Electrical Code and our local amendments. Where appropriate, I have included the applicable code sections. 1. Provide exhaust fans for third floor restrooms, 75 CFM per water closet and urinal to comply with table 403.3 of the 2003 IMC. 2.
