The plan review is based on the 2003 International Codes, the 2002 National Electrical Code and our local amendments. Where appropriate, I have included the applicable code sections. 1. Exit signs in corridor providing direction to front exit to comply with section 1011.2 of the 2003 IBC. 2. Provide emergency backup lighting in the corridors to comply with section 1006.3 of the 2003 IBC. 3. Provide 75 CFM minimum exhaust fan flow per water closet per restroom to comply with table 403.3 of the International Mechanical Code. 4. Provide gate and door hardware information and/or egress statement, "This Door To Remain Unlocked When Building Is Occupied," on exterior door to comply with section 1008.1.8.3 of the 2003 International Building Code. 5. Add a drinking fountain or water cooler to comply with table 403.1 of the International Plumbing Code. 6. Provide 2003 IECC energy compliance reports for envelop, mechanical and lighting. 7. Provide information on the surrounding wall materials in the restrooms to comply with section 1210 of the 2003 IBC. 8. Provide a 96" minimum width access aisle at van accessible parking space. 9. Grab bars needed at bathtub, showers, and toilets per ICC/ANSI A117.1- 1998. The review does not include any civil or zoning issues or NRA requirements of the Unified Development Ordinance. Please respond to the plan review comments at your convenience. Three sets of plans addressing these issues will be required. Should you have any questions, contact me at 979-764-3754.
