Last February, we sold 2.4 acres to the City for the relocation of Fire Station #3. We have a 2500 ft house and 2.6 acres remaining that is the property for consideration. The following map shows our property in blue. It is on Barron Road, 3 /4 mile from the Hwy 6 Access Road, at the intersection of Barron Road and Alexandria Ave. We do not have a specific commercial venture in mind, because we will be placing the property up for sale in the very near future, since we will be relocating out of the College Station area by June. We have been told by many people that our property would be a good place for a Day -Care Center, Office space, storage units, etc. Mark McAuliffe, the city's Land Agent, has spoken with us about the possibility of three departments going in together to purchase our remaining acreage. However, because of the length of time required before we find out about that, we want to proceed with the preliminary steps to see if the property would be suitable for commercial use.
