PAGE 2 OF 7 EXHIBIT "A" That the Official Zoning Map of the City of College Station, Section 3.13, "Development Review Procedures, Conditional Use Permit ", of Chapter 12, "Unified Development Ordinance ", is hereby amended as follows: That a Conditional Use Permit is hereby granted for a STEALTH TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER as provided for in Chapter 12, "Unified Development Ordinance ", Section 3.13, "Development Review Procedures, Conditional Use Permit ", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station. The property located at 903 KRENEK TAP ROAD is granted a Conditional Use Permit for a STEALTH TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER designed as an 80' flagpole, as shown in photo simulation Exhibit `B," the approved site plan shown in Exhibit "C," and shown graphically in Exhibit "D." Brymer James Massey College Station, Embracing the Past, Exploring the Future Minutes College Station City Council Workshop and Regular Meetings Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. City Hall Council Chambers, 1101 Texas Avenue College Station, Texas COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Pro Tem Hazen, Council members, Happ Wareing, Mears, Maloney, Massey COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Silvia STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Brymer, Assistant City Manager Brown, City Attorney Cargill Jr., City Secretary Hooks, Director of Budget and Strategic Planning Kersten, Director of Fiscal Services Cryan, Director of Community and Economic Development Foutz, Director of Public Works Smith, Director of Office of Technology and Information Services Burnside, Administrator of Community Development Brumley, Assistant to the City Manager Curtis Mayor Pro Tem Hazen called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Regular Agenda Regular Agenda Item No. 13.1 — Public hearing, discussion and possible action on a Conditional Use Permit — Use and Site for the Wright Stealth Telecommunications Tower consisting of approximately 3.175 acres located on the north side of Krenek Tap Road lust east of Dartmouth Drive. Development Review Manager Natalie Ruiz remarked that the applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a stealth telecommunications tower designed as an (80) eighty -foot flag pole. Staff does not support the request, noting that the Land Use Plan designates this area as Single Family Medium Density. The subject property is zoned R- 4 Multi- Family and developed as a single family residence, while the majority of the surrounding properties remain undeveloped. Letters of opposition were noted and the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial of the request. Mayor Pro Tem Hazen opened the public hearing. The following individuals addressed the council regarding the Wright Stealth Telecommunications Tower: Brock Bailey, 7703 Pantone Lane, Spring, Texas Michael Crane, Sprint PCS Representative Arthur Wright, Property Owner Phil Tripani, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Mayor Pro Tem Hazen closed the public hearing Council member Maloney moved to deny the approval of a Conditional use Permit -Use and Site for the Wright Stealth Telecommunications Tower located on the north side of Krenek Tap Road. Council member Happ seconded the motion, which carried by a vote of 5 -0 -1. FOR: Hazen, Happ, Mears, Maloney, Massey AGAINST: None ABSENT: Silvia ABSTAINED: Wareing
